George Preston Marshall

George started the Redskins franchise in 1932. The team was formed from the players of the Newark Tornadoes. After one poorly attended season, he moved the team to Fenway Park and renamed it the Redskins. Attendance did not improve and in 1937 they were moved to Washington.
