Boston Redskins

The Boston Redskins were the NFL franchise that existed before they moved to Washington. They played four years from 1933 to 1936 before moving to Washington for the 1937 season.

In 1932, George Preston Marshall was given an NFL franchise. This franchise previously existed as the Newark Tornadoes. Originally known as the Boston Braves, it moved in 1933 from Braves Field to Fenway Park and changed their name to the Boston Redskins.
